This 12x18 print a lost toy at Olana Castle in Hudson, NY is from my “Hide and Seek” series.

I play a game called “Hide and Seek” when I go my street or nature photography shoots. It’s basically a challenge I give myself to take a step back and look for a scene to capture in an area where there are typical photo-op spots. I also call it “Find the shot” because while getting the instagram popular angle is cool for likes it definitely doesn’t speak to me as an artist. You have to “find the shot” if you want to stand out.

There’s always a “keeper” somewhere. You just have to find it!
